Then the brother hall, Gamma C, headed over for open dorms and we played for about two hours. Through the mass chaos, we had a blast and deemed the hours or prep time as 'totally worth it'.
Although it is severely frowned upon....we went mattress sliding last night!! It was a blast and we flew under the radar of the RD. It probably isn't a good thing that as the RA I was allowing this and actually set it up, but oh well, we had a good time nonetheless! (Once I figure out the video thing without taking a century I'll post it)
Friday night we headed up to the cabin for a first-ever Wolff family reunion on Saturday. It was a blast to see the cousins and hang out with the whole fam all day long! It proved to be a long weekend as far as driving was concerned but so worth it. I'm so glad I got to see everyone and am looking forward to when I get to come home again. Love you all!
I had to write up my first fines this weekend for failed room cleanliness checks. :( I felt like such a mean RA and didn't want to do it, but if I don't start I doubt I'll ever do it. I guess you have to start somewhere. Just makes me feel like a meany, that's all! The worst part about it is that I now have to hunt them down until they pay it! Sad day!
i'm feeling shamed...big time. all day long i took a bunch of harassment about wearing my brewer shirt around campus and didn't try to defend them cause my expectations were low but still tried to hold my ground. oh man! i'm so not excited to walk around and see people i talked to today. not to mention that even some staff in the cafeteria made fun of me for my shirt. so this evening, after coming back from a meeting, i started watching in the 8th only to find out that we once held the lead and lost it. gets even worse that i was watching with a crowd of all cub followers. what a shameful evening, my tail is between my legs!
Saturday was a trip to the Zoo to watch Abi host a show at Oceans of Fun. She did a great job and was able to use Uncle Dan, our lucky friend in the audience with a birthday, as the volunteer. I'm not sure if it was more fun for us watching or for the two of them! Seeing all the other animals (elephants, giraffes, fish (thanks for telling us what they all were Matt), etc.) was a treat as well. If I am remembering correctly, I hadn't been to the Zoo since middle school!!
Sunday the whole gang was able to get together to take in a game at Miller Park for Alan's birthday. Eric stole the spotlight from Alan a little though with his different reactions to his surroundings. Luckily we were able to enjoy a win, which is rare when the whole family goes to a game together!
