Back to the Grind

And so I am back to school...sadly but all vacations come to an end. This weekend was one of the greatest weekends I've had in a while. Just spending time with what seems like long-lost friends all weekend and even on the ridiculously long car rides was great! Thanks to all of you who spent it with me as well as those who prayed for our safety!

Next thing you can worry for me about is this coming weekend where I will be coming home for my godson's birthday.

Niagara Falls

We visited Niagara Falls last night! It wasn't quite as big as I anticipated but it was beautiful none the less. We went in the evening when they light up the falls with lights. Enjoy the pretty colors!

NY

To keep you all updated...I am headed to Upstate NY this Friday for fall break. Like I said, I leave on Friday and will be back on Tuesday for classes to start back up on Wednesday. That next weekend I will be coming home for Dawson's birthday party and to visit with the fam. Prayers would be appreciated for travel! Hopefully I'll have a fun update after the long weekend. Thanks for checking in everyone.

Corn Maze

Yesterday a few ladies in my building and I went to a corn maze. Sadly, it was not as high of corn as we get in WI but the day was beautiful and the company was great! We were able to take a hay ride (with no hay), a train ride, jump on hay bales, do the corn maze, retrieve free pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, and play in a cornbox. All of that for $6...what a treat!

Abi's Visit

I wish I had pictures to share but those are still hanging out in Abi's camera. However, I can tell you all what fun things we did!!

Abi visited me at school this past week, Monday-Friday, and was lucky enough to live the life of a college student once again. Fortunately, things were going on on campus this week and she only attended once class and two chapels so it was the college life we all wish we could have had!

The week was filled with Scrabble, bowling, golf, parties in my apartment, and fun times babysitting. Of course there was much more but it's more Abi's story to tell then mine! I'd have to say that my highlight of the week was her washing our dishes, cleaning the apartment, and doing some of the laundry...just kidding...but it was a perk and I'm so grateful for it!

Skate Night

Last Friday (oh man I'm almost a week behind) the Student Activities Board sponsored a Prep/Punk Skate Night as a fun weekend activity. It was merely $1 to skate for two hours...what fun! Here is the only picture I have of the night which was before we even got to the rink. This is my roommate, Michele, and me dressed to impress!
