Job Update
I am currently working 30 hrs/week at the CP Center in the Adult Program. This is extremely similar to the summer program I have done in the past but with adults and not going into the community quite as much. I am pretty much a floater with them and bouncing around beyond different groups (based on the different levels at which each client functions) and helping out where ever I can lend a hand. It's not such a bad situation, though I would prefer full-time, but it is something to bridge the gap between that and now. Thanks for tuning in!
Labor Day Weekend
Such as my usual posts are, this one comes a bit delayed. For Labor Day weekend the family got together in Milwaukee to enjoy a Brewer game on Friday night and the Milwaukee County Zoo to see Auntie Abi perform a show as well as feed some birds on Saturday. We all had quite a bit of fun, a little on the short side, but fun nonetheless! Enjoy!
Eric was a bit overwhelmed, to say the least. Excited to see Bernie Brewer though!

Packer WIN - Aug. 22
Abi, Drew, Angel and I hit the Frozen Tundra for a Packer pre-season game this past weekend. It wasn't the most eventful game after the first quarter but we found enough entertainment on our own. Here's a few pictures to enjoy!

Zoo - Aug. 17
A friend from the CP Center and I ventured down to the Milwaukee County Zoo a few weeks ago to check out the Birds from Down Under exhibit, Oceans of Fun, and of course go around the park to see all the other animals.
The parakeets were rather hungry when we happened to go into the exhibit and we were definitely the main attraction with our food. The birds would actually fly right at you and land on you. Reminds me a bit of our old bird Bobby, super friendly.
Of course the only time it rained during our adventure was during the Oceans of Fun Show but it cleared up just in time for us to get a picture taken.
Finally, and with no picture to prove it, we had a fun encounter with the surrogate mother orangutan. We were watching her and her adopted baby at one end of the cage when she walked to a barrel, picked it up, placed it right in front of us, and proceeded to sit on it and watch us. She was blowing raspberries at us (and us at her) and mimicking our moves. For instance, one lady was redoing her pony tail and she started to do the same motions on her head. Good times!

Final Week
I am in my final week of employment this week. :( I finish up my job at the CP Center on Friday the 7th and the last Bullfrogs game is on the 8th. Following that I will be going to camp for a week but entirely unemployed beyond that! Please, please, please keep me in your prayers and thoughts as I embark on this scary adventure of unemployment.
Weekend in PA
While I don't have a ton of pictures to share, I still had an absolute blast in PA this weekend to celebrate Chele's birthday! During the day on Friday we went to a state park and played with Michele's new dog Sadie while getting chewed up by a bunch of mosquitoes. Sadie loved playing on the dam and sliding down slowly but refused to actually take a swim.
In the evening Michele had a Spiderman picnic/party with a bunch of family and friends. It was great to finally meet all the people I hear her talk about so often.
Saturday we went out to Hershey park to watch Abi help out with an Aqua Theatre show, play in the park, and visit Chocolate World. I didn't want to bring my camera in because I didn't want to deal with it while going on roller coasters. Check out the Hershey Park website to see all the amazing rides we got to go on. Definitely beats Six Flags in Gurnee.
Today was church, sending Chele off to camp, and a drive back into the city to catch my flight. Things were a bit delayed but it was worth it to come back into the 920. Mom and Dad thought they needed to give me just as warm of a welcome though. It worked! :)
